This is Markus’ entry-level blaufränkisch. The grapes were handpicked at the beginning of October, destemmed and mashed into stainless steel tanks for fermentation. After pressing and maloactic, the wine was moved into large 2000L neutral wooden casks and aged for twelve months prior to bottling. It’s what you’d want in a basic blaufränkisch: juicy and bright with just enough grip.
