Mezcal Vago produces their mezcals in palenques dispersed throughout the mountain outskirts of Zoquitlan, Oaxca. Small, traditional production still reigns supreme in these areas. Aquilino carefully selects only the ripes Cuixe for use in this unique mezcal. Cuixe is a wild growing agave that must be brought down the mountain one pina at a time by burro.
