• The sherry casks Tamdhu uses today are of the same type insisted upon when the distillery was established in 1897. This Speyside distillery has always been famous for its heavily sherried finishes. A high-strength addition to the Tamdhu range. Tamdhu Batch Strength was introduced in early 2015, boasting a richly Sherried flavor profile owing to the maturation taking place exclusively in American and European oak Sherry casks. It's presented at a generous 58.8% ABV and bottled without chill-filtration or additional colors. A superb Speysider with an intense, sweetly-spiced character. Wafts of dark chocolate and Sherry-soaked raisins, with a touch of crushed walnut. Fragrant oaky spices develop. Red berry sweetness as the palate opens, soon developing cracked black pepper and cinnamon spiciness. Waxy orange peels, vanilla pod, and demerara sugar in the background.
