Description
Wirz Carignane vinyard was planted 90 years ago on its own rootstock, is dry framed and nurtured without chemicals. The vineyard is bisected by the San Andreas fault line which brings a mixture of granite and lime-stone soils and thus an ideal acid and pH values to the wine. The vineyard consistently produces the finest Carignane I've ever tasted; moderate bodied with delicate spicy fruit, ample body and light tannins. Serve solo or with cheese and lighter meats.
