• Laphroaig is about as classic Islay as you can get. Heavily peated, light bodied, a powerhouse of maritime flavors, and smoke, smoke, smoke. It really sticks with you, but in a good way. A younger, lighter expression of Laphroaig aged in smaller quarter casks to increase surface area to the whiskey. Expect a softer, more elegant dram that’s both sweet and smoky.
