• Tequila Fortaleza was the first distillery to export their tequila to the United States and also had a major role in establishing the Denomination of Origin for Tequila. While the Fortaleza brand only launched in 2005, they family has 140 years of experience in the industry. Using the traditional method of production Tequila, agave is crushed by a tahona (stone wheel), fermented in small wooden vats, distilled in tiny copper-pot stills and aged for 6 to 9 months in American Oak. This reposado shows delicious aromas of citrus, caramel, butter, cooked agave and sage and mouth-watering flavors of citrus, apple, vanilla, earth and cinnamon. The finish is long, rich and spicy.
