This single cask pick was aged for five and a half years, perfect for showcasing the peat, which tends to lose its edge over time. Peated at 50 PPM, this is on par with the likes of Ardbeg in its intensity of smoke, but the depth of flavor is beyond comparison. Aged in a fresh bourbon barrel, and nonchill filtered for maximum flavor, this is a cask strength bottling at 58.3%.
