• Highland Park distillery, founded in 1798, is a Scotch whisky distillery based in Kirkwall, Orkney. It is the most northerly whisky distillery in Scotland. The name of this whisky does not refer to the area of Scotland known as The Highlands, but rather to the fact that the distillery was founded on an area called ‘High park’ distinguished from a lower area nearby. Highland Park 18-year-old is a masterclass of balance, complexity and refinement. Lingering layers of sweet honeyed malt, meet characterful dried fruit notes, marzipan and golden syrup, all wrapped up in a swathe of distinctive, subtle floral peat smoke.
