Description
  • Located in Keith, Moray, within the Speyside region of Scotland, the distillery was erected in 1958. The distillery experienced many changes throughout the years.  For example, they used to do double distillation, then to triple, then back to double. Glen Keith used gas-fired stills until they switched to steam heated stills. Throughout all their changes Glen Keith’s whisky was mainly put into blends, the most notable being Chivas Regal. At one point in the 1990s, there was a 10-year distillery release, but several years later in 1999, the distillery was mothballed. It reopened in 2012 by Chivas Regal with the intent of using the whisky for blends.

Beside the whiskey being 22 years old, its most appealing characteristic is its 49er gold color.  Look for notes of malts, bread crust, dried lemons, spices, orchard fruit and dried bananas, oaky, butter scotched, briny custard, wet oak. It has a rich finish with caramel and peanuts notes.
