This Cask exclusive bourbon barrel, number 1109, is 5 years old at a scorching 133.2 proof. It’s very aggressive at first and plays very well with one of those giant ice cubes. The whiskey especially opens up after the bottle has been open for a few days, so I expect it to taste even better after being open for a week or two if it lasts that long.
Look for notes of butterscotch, honeysuckle, white and black pepper, vanilla, raw cacao, red apple skin, clove, and corn pops.
