El Dorado's unique flavour and taste is much due to the tropical climate of this lush country of Guyana - which translates from its Amerindian name “Land of many waters” - and the three centuries of rum production along the banks of the Demerara river. This is a rich rum that is full of character, not as sweet as the El Dorado 12-year-old or the El Dorado 21-year-old rums, it has a full nose packed with dark coffee, candied orange, almonds, dark chocolate, pepper and rich vanilla. Its beautifully rounded palate is complexwith spicy dried fruit, and interweaving layers of honey, gingerbread and toasty oak.
