Although the current chateau and its furnishings are a popular tourist destination, the property's real treasures are the nearly 300 barrels stored within the chai next door. Inside this primitive space, time seems to stand still: yet the constant passage of air helps to create the full-bodied, lush style of Ravignan's natural Bas-Armagnacs. This vintage was made by strictly traditional means: it was single-distilled at a low dgree, aged in 420 liter oak casks, and bottled at cask strength.
