Description
A French aperitif wine that has been in production since 1865. This aperitif wine is known in France as “ouvre l’appétit” or the key to the appetite. Bonal Gentiane Quina shares many characteristics with vermouth, amari and chartreuse. It is made by an infusion of gentian, cinchona (quinine) and the herbs of the Grand Chartreuse mountains in a Mistelle base. It tastes strongly of red fruits like plums and cherries, but also herbs and licorice. Traditionally enjoyed neat or with a twist.
