Description

• Jesus Correa is one of only two mezcal producers in this government protected region near the border of Oaxaca and Puebla known as a Reserva de la Biosfera. No one else is allowed to set up a distillery or even harvest agave in the protected area. 

  Like every good maestro mezcalero, Jesus serves his community in Concepción Buena Vista; he has empirical knowledge of agriculture, ranching, and botany. He and his son sow and harvest their own lands. 

  Look for aromas of white pepper, eucalyptus, and pine. The palate has a strong brininess, with cucumber, tarragon, and green pepper.
