Founded in 1826 the distillery burned down twice in 1879 & 1898 and has sat in its current location since. Surround by the dramatic Highland scenery of Ben Rinnes, the village of Aberlour sits in the heart of Speyside, where the Lour burn joins the River Spey and this fantastic whiskey is created. This 12-year-old scotch is rested in traditional oak and seasoned Sherry butts. This method of maturation lends a fine sherried character, balanced with rich chocolate, toffee, cinnamon and ginger spiciness on the palate.
