Founded in 1826 the distillery burned down twice in 1879 & 1898 and has sat in its current location since. Surround by the dramatic Highland scenery of Ben Rinnes, the village of Aberlour sits in the heart of Speyside, where the Lour burn joins the River Spey and this fantastic whiskey is created. A’Bunadh is a special release from Aberlour. It is exclusively aged in first-fill Spanish Oloroso sherry butts, giving it a sweet and soft character. The aroma includes dried fruits, marmalade, baking spices and nuts. The palate confirms the nose but adds caramel, butterscotch and bittersweet chocolate.
