Founded in 1826 the distillery burned down twice in 1879 & 1898 and has sat in its current location since. Surround by the dramatic Highland scenery of Ben Rinnes, the village of Aberlour sits in the heart of Speyside, where the Lour burn joins the River Spey and this fantastic whiskey is created. This 16-year-old is creamy, sweet raisin aromas with a spicy nuttiness on the nose. The palate sports a smooth blend of floral and spicy flavors, paired with a sweet plum fruitiness and gentle oakiness. Long finish with a warm honeyed spiciness.
